FAT32 Drive Information


FAT32 Volumes Not Supported for Recording with Pro Tools vii.4 and College for Windows
  • Pro Tools vii.three.x is the final version of Pro Tools that supports FAT32 for Recording.
  • Pro Tools vii.4 and higher for Windows XP and Windows Vista do not support FAT32 for recording, but will keep to support FAT32 formatted volumes for Playback and Transfer.

    • Although Windows Vista Home and Domicile Premium Edition have not been tested or qualified past Avid, there are currently no known issues with Vista Home and Home Premium 32-chip operating systems and Pro Tools LE 7.4/8.0 compared to the supported Windows Vista Concern or Ultimate Edition operating systems.

Windows Vista SP1
Pro Tools 8.0 is officially qualified with Windows Vista with Service Pack ane.

There are currently no known issues with Pro Tools 7.four with Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista based on our initial limited testing and customer feedback. Pro Tools viii.0 is officially qualified with Windows XP with Service Pack 3 (not tested with SP1 or SP2).

Windows XP SP2, Microsoft DEP and PACE InterLok Drivers Update

  • All Pro Tools LE versions for Windows XP crave Windows XP Service Pack i or higher.
  • Pro Tools LE six.9 and higher crave Windows XP Service Pack two or 3 (SP1 not tested).
  • All versions of Pro Tools earlier than vi.9 install PACE InterLok drivers that are not compatible with SP2 or SP3.
